Why not go with 15" diameter rear wheels? I didn't see brakes mentioned but if you have stock size rear brakes then 15" in back is the way to go. You will have more sidewall.
What rims are you using with the tubed slicks? Front skinny too? Hard to tell because the videos are far away.
Since you already gutted it I'd recommend a carbon fiber hood and a lightweight (possibly relocated) battery.
Did you already pull the front sway bar out?
Those 3 things would...
I've been wanting to do the exhaust out the top of the hood like that. Can you please post if there's any issues for example with heat on the windshield or hood?
Looks great as always.
There is no factual limit, it is all a matter of opinion. Who says you even need a body? Who says you even need a motor? Can it be remotely controlled? :) There was no mention of it having to be running or requirements. What I said is absolutely true, you can do weight reduction until you reach...
Since nobody posted it yet and there was a lot of discussion about it, here is a direct link to the VIN decoding.

There's no limit to the weight reduction you can do. Everyone will do something...
Mine did, LSD is coded on the VIN and it spins both wheels ;) . 87 NA with no options except LSD.
The page that decodes the VIN has all the information. I don't have a link to it though.

Here's the 8" wide medium pad with 5.5 backspacing...
Lighter is better and the hoosier should fit well on it. Specs say 8" maximum rim for that tire. Next step up is 11.5 and I don't think I need that much tire. There's a 10.5 MT but I've looked up everything I can and it looks like it performs identical to the slightly smaller hoosier.
My...
Can anyone tell me if these will work? I want to know if I need grinding/hammering/rolling/cutting/spacers/longer studs/different lugs and if I have other options.
I believe I need longer studs and different lugs.
Rear Plan:
15x7 with 4.5 backspacing Weld Racing RTS S71 (medium pad)...
A rule of thumb is that lexan is half the weight of glass. That being said, I'm not sure what the stock rear glass weighs and I didn't weigh my lexan before securing it to the hatch.
