    It's a clean sheet pushrod V8 running the standard 5.7 liters of displacement. It's pretty similar to a small block chevy, it even shares the 1st and 2nd gen SBC bellhousing bolt pattern so it has lots of transmission options.

    It's probably the VSV valve (heater valve) if you're not getting any heat and aren't losing coolant.

    Something is wrong with your car and/or you have a much heavier foot than I do. I usually get around 20 mpg mixed driving. If I get a bunch of city miles I'll usually get around 17 mpg and my all time best is 28 mpg on a long road trip.
