Thanks Gaboon, I just wanted to make sure before I drained the tank. Yeah, I was thinking I was going to have to have someone there with extra containers... lol. It makes wish I didn't have an electric lawn mower though...
I have a quick question about draining old gas from my tank. Are there any special considerations as far as draining the tank using the drain plug, specifically, thread sealant or new gasket/washer when putting the plug back in? I've got about a 1/4 tank of gas that's going on a year and a half...
Hey guys...
I was just looking for some opinions. Original owner, 1989 Turbo Supra. 148,000 miles. Used to be my wife's DD. Never raced or abused. This winter I replaced a number of hardened hoses, including a cracked accordian hose. The car has rarely seen anything above 4,000 RPM. For the...
OP.... whether or not you paid to much, it's a done deal. If you like the body kit, more power to you. Like Reiketsukan said, you can change the head gasket... just read up here and do it right. If I were you, I'd also get a hold of Toyota Service Manual for your car. There is a wealth of...
Well, I paid $27,840 for mine. Worth every penny. :icon_bigg
But then, mine doesn't have an ugly body kit (I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder) and doesn't have a BHG... but in my opinion, you may have overpaid for it. But hey, you have a supra now... :-)
ok... well thanks for the replies and comments... but... I know how to remove the boot. The shifter console is apart on my work bench. The quality of the boot that I bought off of eBay is great. It is a perfect match for the original and made of very high-grade, supple leather. I was just asking...
Hi... I actually bought this a couple of years ago, shifter and hand brake boots, from a company, I believe it was Bonny Buttons. It is the exact dimensions and construction as the original. I was very impressed with the construction.

Greetings...
I'm going to be changing out my old, torn shifter boot for a nice new 'real' leather one I bought on eBay. I was just wanting to know about what glue I should use to secure it to the plastic ring at the top of the shifter and the metal ring at the base. I have Gorilla Glue, but...
Just as an FYI followup, Nashman appears to be right. I went to the local import PNP today and these were only on targas.
Zumtizzle... I'm near Bond and Bradshaw. I love the light blue... no matter what other people refer to it as... LOL. The Z is my next project after I finish the freshening...
Hi all...
I was just curious what the piece of hardware attached with 2 screws on the door jamb is called. It appears to be a guide of some sort. I've noticed it isn't on all MA70s. It is in a couple of illustrations in the Body section of the 89 TSRM, but it isn't identified.
Thanks,
Bruce
