yea i could see if your driving stupid and the rim goes to crap but just regular driving i wouldnt see the harm in them. As for diamond racing those wheels are pretty nice I wanted them but I thought they only went up to like 15 i didnt know that they actually made bigger sizes. What size where you thinking about going with and arent those only like 100 a pop give or take lol.

The quality of XXR wheels is good for a street driven car. This car isn't shabby on XXR 521 wheels.

Just seems that the people who have the nicer mk3's also have a significant financial investment in their cars.
Unless one is building a collector classic car, money spent on a car is never an investment, it is merely an expense. Correction:

I think opposite of many people. If a was a newcomer to the MK3 scene, I'll make sure that the car is reliable, then buy some nice wheels (and coilovers) before I spend on any engine related performance upgrades.

Well before i was really limited by cost and what would fit in the wells, but yeah they're only like 5-600 a set, so cost isn't really a problem. I'm thinking i'd go as big as possible. Anybody wanna see if 19"x 14" will fit? lol

It's important to be careful of what you ask for. :naughty:

XXR widths and offsets are becoming really good. their styling is getting better and better. I just wish they would eliminate the universal lug pattern.

2010 Model: XXR 521 came in 18x10+25. If they paid attention to me, they would've omitted the fake fasteners and instead have a no fastener single piece look. They would've saved money too.

XXR 522 come in 18x9.5+25

2011 Model that look good:

XXR stepped up the width with the 527 that comes in 18x9.0+25 and 18x10.5+20

XXR 527 - Concavity :naughty:
18x8.75 +25
18x9.75 +25
1/4" sizing? :dunno:

The 521 is a stepped lip with faux fasteners . The 006 has a straight lip. They do not have a common face.

Interesting. They could've gone with 0.5" increments.

I just ordered a set of the 521 in silver. I wish they didn't have the rivets too, but the silver makes them kind of disappear.

I like how they look in real pics too
