X7's with 7Ms anyone?!.... upgrading to the 24 valve variety

Hey everyone,

My name's Alex. I've been lurking around here for awhile, trying to do as much research for my upcoming motorswap, and figured it was finally time to say hello and maybe even ask some questions.

I own an 85 Cressida Wagon, 86 Cressida Sedan and a 78 280Z. Datsun started my love of inline 6s and toyota just kept me going.

Plans for the sedan is to get the 88 7MGE and w58 in it this weekend, and then take my time rebuilding a 7MGTE longblock I've got sitting in a friends garage for the wagon. These plans tend to change week to week though.

I'll keep searching but expect some technical questions coming in the very near future.

The diff in the 88 N/A, if it IS a lsd, is 4.3 not 3.9. 3.91 came in the 87-88 turbo models.

Good call, I'll have to change that in the CL ad. Chassis code reads G285, so 4.3, 4 pinion LSD, ya?

Check the axle code, 3 or 5 is a LSD.

I also have an x72 wagon as well. not 7m though, doing a w58 1jz set up.
