so, i was off on christmas day and had nothing to do. then i remembered that i had just bought the new ice clay bar. i decided to wash, clay bar, and wax my car. then a friend came along and decided to do his as well. when it was all set and done, i decided to take some pictures. came out pretty good i think. also, you will notice that his mx83 is on here as well. we will be doing an engine swap and cant decide between a 1j or a 2j. let me know what you guys think.

Oh yeah....go 1JZ. less problems for him in the front radiator support area compared to a 2JZ.

2J will virtually always beat the 1J. Same weight, same bolt pattern, more torque, easier and faster to get parts, cheaper. What's not to like?

The price tag and more wiring?

What are you comparing? Brand new 2J vs used from a JDM clip? Price the parts new, and they are very similar. Furthermore, I wouldn't use much more than the longblock on either - skip the twins and the stock wiring, I'd just go single and standalone from the get go.
