What's with posting all of these race videos. What ever happened to the "How will my car do against my friends Sti cause we're supposed to race this weekend, but it'll never really happen" threads?

Is this the same 1jz MKIII that you raced against at the dragstrip?
Is he running drag radials? I was sure the Sti would yank him out of the hole, but the opposite happened. What are your friends mods? You did mention that he's putting down 320-330rwhp.

This is not the same 1jz I raced at the strip.

I have raced this car from a roll and i pull about 2-3 car lengths at top end.

This is a.good friend of mine his name is Andrew (lazer1100)

That 330rwhp is just a guess we have never had the car on a dyno

Mods are

1jz from a jza70 with mines ecu.
Aeromotive AFPR
Walbro 255
Stock twins on 16psi dropping to 14psi

Aluminum radiator and one huge electric fan.
Vis carbon fiber hood
Gutted from front seats back
It's on a street radial from bridgestone 255/50r16 on the back Mk4 wheels
3inch intake filter

I would guess I'm putting down like 350-360 to wheels plus for some reason my tires hook up extremely well on that road. It was funny watching him in the side mirror lol

Trying to figure out the power of this 1jz using this http://www.corral.net/tech/brakehp.html

His best track time
13.8 @ 106mph

Now we just have to figure out the wieght.

Car is a 1990 1jz stock twins
Gutted only from the front seats back
Mk4 16 inch wheels
Aftermarket intercooler with 2.5 pipes
R154 trans
Targa top
Stock front seats

Any ideas on the wieght of this car with full fluids ???? Driver is 200lbs

I would say that a 3600lb curb weight is realistic, give or take 50 lbs. Given his ET/trap speed, I get the idea that he spun a bit off the launch... he ran both faster, and slower than I did:

What was his 60' on that run? And the rear end gear?

About what I figured. Well, for comparison's sake, my car makes 320whp on 12psi, which is how that run posted was made. Could be a dozen factors on why he ran that time, but I would suspect he is probably near what I am, power wise.

Hey Jordan. Dan is down to race you at firebird on the 27th. it would be our race all over again. only difference is he has a stock clutch, better tires and it's a different driver.

I wouldnt mind beating Dan with my stock twins better clutch and better tires.

I think you can take it on the strip and lower rolls for sure.

I still think I can take that setup if i can get my car running right.
