wrist pin hole is 1 thous to big

ok so i just stopped at my machinist shop and he says that my #6 piston Wrist pin hole is 1 thousandths to big for his liking. He says normally he likes to have them at about 1 thousandth clearance alone, and i guess the 1 piston is around 2 thousandth clearance between the wrist pin and wrist pin hole bore.

The #6 rod is the rod that i had spun twice. I bought a brand new rod but now i may need a new piston.

going for 650-750 rwhp and want to know what you think about that clearance.

Idk what you guys think about this, i have upgraded pins in there to.

Got the answer on SF within an hour. Lol but for anyone who searches this, 1 thousandth is pretty much the max you want for the wrist pin clearance.

This says that 1 thousands is more than tolerance. "Maximum oil clearance 0.02mm (0.0008 in)" Standard clearance is less than half that.

Yes cause I'm not on factory power. My Bearing / piston to cylinder clearances are not what stock is cause I'm going to be pushing way more power than what the TSRM goes by.

Just wondering if anyone had bigger clearances for a higher HP engine.

Doesn't matter if your still using stock pistons. Stock pistons/rods use stock spec.

not stock pistons. JE's and eagles. nothin on my engine is stock. lol except the crank.

I have gone as high as 1.5 thou on a comparable horsepower build. I think I would definitely scrap pistons at 2 thou.
