Hey guys, I'm joe, 23 from Auckland, New Zealand. This isn't you're normal build thread on here of course (being a dirty Nissan) But I would appreciate some of your feedback with the stuff that reeeaallly matters (ie. drivedrain)

My father first brought me this car in 2005. A 1999 Nissan Silvia S14, SR20DE Automatic. As a 15 year old I was still going to high school and had no money, I really wanted to modify it back then, but my father was against it all, trying to stop me 'waisting' my money (I really should have listened)

After many years go by of having dumb wheels and lame lowering springs, I thought I would start to modify the car properly.

I purchased some Part Shop Max Coilovers, a few arms and other bits and pieces and threw them in, along with some LED tail lamps.

I'd always wanted a really clean and tidy look for the car, and always loved these Origin wings. Eventually a pair popped up locally and snagged them.

I then picked some some factory OEM Facelift aero, and Work CR Kai's in 18x9.5 +12 all round.

Drove it round for a while, really loved this thing, apart from the driveline which lacked in every which way.

This is where it all went downhill. A faulty jack caused my car to fall to the ground whilst i had my back turned getting the axle stands.

A couple months later after I had fixed it, A customer at my work backed his trailer into my drivers door which sucked so much.

And then a couple months after that, I got rear ended.

This is where I pretty much gave up on this car. I got so frustrated, I pulled it all down, and sold everything off it. I just kept it in standard form as a daily driver whilst i had this Landcruiser a buddy had for sale.

I then decided to build up the same original Silvia once again. Started by tearing the useless stuff out!

Since I loved the sound of the truck I had so much, I decided to continue on with the Toyota route, purchasing one of these donks

Tore it down and did the usual maintenance items. (WP, Cambelt, Tensioners etc)

Picked up an Excedy HD clutch, and set to put the motor in the car.

Managed to fit it in quite nicely, but now the hard part started.

I really wanted to keep the car really tidy looking, so ended up moving the fuse box into the center console while wiring up the car

Took it over to see Adam @ C's Garage to get the GTR intercooler and piping done, as well as the exhaust.

Managed to get it all wired up pretty much and interior all back in proper, so went to see my buddy Hamish at PSM NZ and picked up this stuff

Took it out for a wee drive, keeps getting hot however. Stationary and in traffic it's 100% fine, but as soon as I go on the motorway, the temp just keeps creeping up

Tried to make up some rough ducting to see weather it would help the overheating issue, helped a little bit, but not enough to remedy the problem.

I've changed around the radiator setup (Was using R33 radiator + 2x 10" fans unshrouded) so I've put the bottom outlet on the opposite side, and got a shroud with 2x 12" fans, as well as an oil cooler to put in. Here is how it sits as of today.

Bascially same as what it looked before, but with all different items of the same part haha. I also picked up a new daily driver.
