Just try em each way, one way will read backwards is all

Or just blow something.......
It's not an air valve, hooking something that's electronic up backwards will sometimes lead to smoke......

Do you have a clue or are you just talking shit?

I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't KNOW it works that way.

I LOL'd so hard when I read that.

"hooking something that's electronic up backwards will sometimes lead to smoke" - Clearly displaying the fact that he has no idea what's going on.

It's just reversing the polarity CT26smoker.. oh wait.. your name has smoke in it?

Edit: Had to add to my sig. Sorry.

LoL........
Just reversed polarity !
Try that on a S-AFC I dare you.
Try that on your ECU, go ahead, it's just reversed polarity.
Light bulbs are one thing, pressure tranducers are completely different.

Go ahead, by all means, reverse the polarity........

Don't talk to me like you've already talked down to a respected member of our community.

Do you know how a gauge works? It's not an ECU. Just because you don't understand electronics and you're afraid they may "start smoking" .. does not mean you should come into peoples threads *correcting* a known good-advice-giver's advice. Sir.

The topic has already been covered. Yes I made fun of you, yes you got butt hurt, yes you're in my sig (probably forever at this rate) but you'll get over it. Drop it please.

Well Mikie........
A MAP sensor is not a gauge, it's a pressure transducer.

And I am glad I'm in your sig, it will show everybody how ignorant you are.

Here is some REAL info (not forum bull):
GM 3-BAR MAP sensor pin-out:

A - Sensor Ground
B - Signal output - VPC pressure sensor Blue wire
C - 5vdc input (when measured with Black (ground) wire on Main VPC harness)

And just how is reversing A and C going to let the magic smoke out?
(did I mention doing this for anything other than the Map Sensor we're discussing in this thread?)

More forum "BS" but just in case anyone is actually interested....

Those purchasing new 3 bar map sensors from AC Delco part numbers 213-1562 or GM 12223861 the sensor is wired internally different than the original TTA 3 bar.

The correction involves swapping the power and ground terminals to it. Whereas old sensor wiring is
A= 5v
B=signal
C=ground

New wiring for 12223861 or 213-1562
A=ground
B=signal
C= 5v

Hope this saves someone from buying the GM harness that reverses the wires for 30 bucks
