I just picked up a set of four 3-spoke volk c-ultra's 17x9 +22 all around. I'm currently sitting at the stock 4x4 height, but will be lowering the car in a couple months and using it for auto x and road course almost entirely. Putting down close to 500RWHP once it's tuned. I prefer the squared off look over the stretched look. Performance is my main concern.

I was thinking 255/40/17-all around or 245/40/17(F) and 255/40/17(R) based on some info from another member with similar wheel size and offset.

Does that sound right for the intended use?
Will I have any issues with rubbing if lowered between 1-1.5 inches?

Thanks

Do you want to roll your fenders or no?

For example, Boris is running 9's in the front w/ +15. This shows that your rims will work if you pick the right tire. He has his fenders rolled quite a bit so this may be necessary of you pick a wider tire.

The rears should fit also (might need a roll). Boris has +25 on a 10" wheel and a 255 so I don't see why this wouldn't work for you.

I'll wait for Boris to chime in though. I tend to stick to the more conservative side of wheel fitment.

^ roll will be needed all around depending on how low and how much camber and ran. s 255 tire can fit in the rear but for sure a roll will be needed. I am tucked right now and there is still a bit of gap left. Not sure if you guys have seen my pic of my car just raised an inch but you can see at a normal lowered height my rims stick out .5" - 1" in the rear.

But I don't want camber and wanna run at least 295s on the rears.

LOL then... no.

OR get some S2 over fenders! lol.

EDIT: Maybe some major pulling would do it? I'm not familiar with pulling on mk3 supras though

Hehehe. I was just teasing BorHor.

For the rear, I currently run 9.5"+36. 11"+19 will stick out another 1.4". I would need to cut the fender's inner lip; that should give me my 0.4" Then I need to flare the fender to get that additional 1 inch. 295s will stretch slightly on an 11" rim.

So...an 11"+19 with 295s should fit without cambering.

I think.:biggrinki

I hope the HREs are not as expensive there as they are here... $7800 per set!

18" HREs are around $4800. The good thing about HREs is that regardless of the width, the price does not change. An particular model of a certain diameter will cost the same, whether they are 8.5" or 11.5"

I just caught this thread... There are some nice wheels up here. Im running
19x8.5f/19x10r... 235-35-19/265-30-19. No rolling of the fenders, no camber adjustment or anything. These are 1997 Rays Sebring Edition rims...

ok ok ok, now i asked this along time ago.......but in light of applesauce's ride with 19x10's +40 on the rear and they fit with no problems, then my 19x 9.5's +25 should fit with a fender roll that is i will have 21mm more inner clearence and it will etend only an extra 9mm out then his wheel. so they should fit you think? i should be home on r&r in a few days so i will know for sure then but just thought what tire you thought i should run? and im running 19's on the rear and 18's on the front so when i get it done i will take pics. thanks
