What's your turbo size, and max boost your run?

Please list your turbo, boost, and if possible your rwhp. This would really help me narrow down which turbo I should be after. I would like anything over 500+rwhp, and need to know what turbo would get me there. Race gas or not. Please help me. I'd really appreciate it. I found out my turbo I bought is a T04e 57 trim .60 a/r compressor side, .69 a/r turbine on center. I would like to have it upgraded to a 62-1 compressor wheel. I don't think a 57trim will net me 500rwhp. I thimk a 62-1 will. I'm looking for a turbo that will achieve my goal, and have somewhat of a decent bottom end too. So if you guys can help with your personal info I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

I guess I'll start. I ran an upgraded CT26 with a garrett 50 trim wheel. I was running 18psi on that turbo with your common mods. HKS 85mm exhaust, 2.75" downpipe, test pipe, 550cc's, K&N, and some other stuff. I never dynoed my car, but I was running 13.10's @ 111mph. There. Please contribute your info. Thanks.

You would be better off just selling it and buying what you want. A compressor wheel and compressor housing aren't cheap even if it's small shaft stuff. I would also run a tang turbine housing. Once you upgraded you could get of got an SC61 or used T66 for similar money and been better off. I think you'll have a hard time making 500 rwhp on pump gas. I would assume most are running over 500 are on race gas or brave and on atleast 93. I know I can't do it on 91 octane.

My Supra will not be a daily driver, so more than likely I'll be running race gas when out to the track. But yeah I think you're right, I might as well just buy what I want. I'm really thinking about getting a T61 with a .68 a/r tang hotside.

ts04. 2 bar. 505rwhp and 522 ft. lbs. 110 leaded

I've also did hte same numbers with c16.

A true (no bolt on ct-26 hot side, or T3 hotside crap.. a REAL t4 turbo) 60-1 should get you to the 500whp mark. A 62-1 would get you 600+.

I currenty have a true Garrett T04e 57trim with .60 a/r compressor, and .69a/r T4 turbine. I was just wondering what this turbo is capable of with race gas before I tried to upgrade it to a 62-1 compressor wheel. That's if I decide to upgrade it. I might sell this turbo and try to find a T61. Here are some pics of it.

It's not capable of 500 rwhp. It flows around 45 lbs/min. You wouldn't have a problem making 400 rwhp though.

*raises eyebrow* Is that a challenge sir? j/k I probably would be happy with 400rwhp, but I want to join the 500+rwhp club. Who doesn't?

Yeah, I might keep the dang turbo and try to fine tune my car. If I get bored then I'll consider upgrading it, or buy something else. That guy Raymond on 7mpower.com did 422rwhp with his upgraded CT26 57 trim. I should be able to at least hit that with a REAL T4 57 trim.

Not a challange. You could make more but the map says what it will flow. Go to it's max and effeciancy goes down and heat goes up then, a little more and it's off the map into the choke area. A more effeiciant turbo would do it easier with less boost, and lower octane.

IJ, you are so right. Traction is rare on street tires in the lower 3 gears at that level. I run R compound tires.

Yeah, I keep playing with the maps and anything over 85% engine volumetric efficiency (VE) puts me off the map on this 57trim. What would you say a 7mgte with a fully ported head run as far as VE? IJ, would you happened to know since you have a ported head?

Thanks Clifton. Anything past 15psi begins to puts me off the map with a 57trim. I guess I can either tune this combo to a healthy mid 400rwhp and be happy, or make plans to go with another turbo to hit higher numbers. Thanks for your comments guys. I'll let you guys know what's going on later. Thanks again.

I run a fully built engine with standalone on a full SP71GTQ .81AR turbo kit (full tubular hearders) with a HKS GT 60mm wastegate. All I can tell you is that even without tunning it was stupid. The turbo came online much faster than I though for such a masive unit. Running 285/35/18's the car would smoke them like nothing. Absolutely stupid and pointless as a daily driver.

Of course that said, the sound, feel and expression on everyones faces is pricesless, would not change it, at least for the purpose of a cruise car.
