Kenwood MP-4028 (had to have something with a darker face.... I'm not liking all the chrome on most decks)
Aux input for my handheld and/or laptop
Kenwood 4" (cheap-ass) speakers in front
Stock rear speakers (need to replace those soon)
Infinity Basslink II

Not the coolest system around, but it sounds great to me.

I am more for having a clean supra thats hella fast and nice so I went basic to save weight and money.

*Clarion Head Unit (Sirius ready)
*Sirius reciever unit mounted behind head unit in center console
*MB Quart replacement speakers (larger in rear of car)

pretty basic, sounds pretty good, and no longer have to put up with crappy stations that play the same junk and then play way TOO MUCH metallica, sorry but metallica is played out and lame.

I just set up a pair of Pioneer 4"s in the front and they fit perfectly and a pair of 4" pioneers in the hatch (facing up). i left the 3.5" (or whatever) ones in the rear seats there because they weren't blown and they were open air. They are supposed to be open air right?

picking my MKIII up on thursday, swapping the system from my beater into it [its my daily so im saying the hell with weight].

Kenwood MP3/WMA HU [forgot model number]
w/e speakers are in it, upgrading to alpine Type R's
2 Alpine Type R 12"s
Mirrored Plexiglass bandpass box tuned @ 45hz
2 kenwood KAC-9102D Mono D-Block amps [913WRMS on the left, 911WRMS on the right, got them benched last week]

hit 121DBs @ 40hz in my beater, and thats through the back seat. cant WAIT to hear it in the hatch.

there will be pictures of the install along with the car, and also pictures of the header install.

Anyone running 2 x JL w3's 12" ? This is what I'm thinking of going with.. But can't decide if it's going to hit too hard.

Luda...ditch that bandpass box ASAP. The ONLY thing they're good for is hiding distortion. Go with a true ported box if you're looking for spl. Personally I prefer the sound of a sealed box with the tight punchy bass.

In any case, I'll be picking up a pair of MTX 7500's in a little bit, and I've got a custom box in the works--will be revealed here soon enough.

Alpine CDA-9830
Eclipse Sp5000 5.25's in the front doors powered by an EA2000 w/no rear fill speakers
MTX 7500's (2) custom sealed box
Kicker 750.1 powering the 7500's

Sounds pretty bitchin so far, w/o having the custom box done yet. I just set it up with the MTX ported box they come in, and it hits HARD, yet it's still pretty damn clear in the mids and highs.

Small change:

Kenwood MP3/WMA HU, 22W RMSx4
4" Infinity Reference speakers (front)
5.25" Alpine Type S speakers (rear)

I really like how it sounds, just needs abit more bass. I'll probably add a small 10" sub later.

i am about 1/4 of the way int obuilding a T-line [1/4 wave box]. its essentially the PERFECT enclosure for the subs, the EXACT enviroment that the subs are made to play in. its tuned to 35 hz, which is the FS of the subs after a slight bass boost @ 40hz.

BUT!!!

my chevy got stolen today, and it has my almost 3 grand worth of audio shit in it... so im pretty much fucked.... cuz im buying the supra... so i can replace the audio.... but id rather have the supra then subs... but im so fucking bummed right now... i mean... the fucking chevy had a RED DOOR... and its was BLUE!!!! why would you steal it. you cant tell theres anything but a HU installed, and even then i have the faceplate anyways.... so WTF. and of course the cops are taking there sweet time. i know its been stripped by now so im gonna hopefully get some decent dough for xmas and be able to atleast semi rebuild the system... i hope... :(

Step up to a CompVR PLEASE....at LEAST a VR. A VX if you can afford it. That's what I think I'll be getting instead of the 7500's :naughty:

BTW--that 600w amp (if that's the nominal [rms] power of the amp) is going to blow the living shit out of that comp)

My system is just a basic "step up" from stock.

-Pioneer DEH-P80MP Headunit
-4" Infinity Kappa 42.7i Speakers, Front & Rear

I am planning to upgrade the rear speakers to 5 1/4", and the fronts to 6.5" when time & funds allow.

- 200.2 Kicker amp just temp. till i get rears then i have to buy bigger amp. (150 i think)

Hmmm...ditched the 7500's a while ago, here's what Im rockin now:

Alpine CDA-9830 (won't be getting replaced until I find a 7998 deadhead)
Eclipse SP5000 5 1/4 components up front (these sound AMAZING, thank you Justin!)
Eclipse EA-2000 powering the components
JL Audio 10" w0 8ohm sub (Actually runs at 6ohms with a 12v signal; For a free sub...it POUNDS)
Rockford amp 150w (@ 6ohms) (once again...free)
Ported box that sounds rather poopy (Yet again...free)

Gotta love the rich ass customers that come into my Circuit City and don't want their old shit anymore :D
