Whats that sound ???

Hi,
When im on a halt, or just starting to drive..1-2 mph if there is such a thing as going that slow, and I turn my steering wheel, I hear this ''clink clank clank clink !!!'' sound on the left front wheel.
It also does it when not moving..but not always...it just got bad today..maybe cause my radio was off, and windows rolled down.

Im guessing Lower balljoint or tierodend...think I read that somewhere...but I just wanna make sure..cause when I look at it...well looks ok i guess..its all dirty down there anyways.

If you know...let me know what kind of job..easy hard..it is.and how much $$ If I can do it.

Jack up that corner of the car and put it on a jackstand.

Grab the wheel and shake the snot out of it, see if you get any play. If you do, get someone else to shake it while you track down what the worn part is.

If it's clanking, chances are it will be pretty easy to find.
