Hey guys, I know it has been brought up before over here. But just as a more clear source and to get it on the new forum. Can you guys post what you bought, and where from to do your complete thermostat controlled oil cooler. Also if you can post any direct fit(close to obviously, nothing is perfect) upgrade coolers you used. Or just a new stocker. Thanks!

I come from a land down under
I started with an NA block so you'll have to buy an NA filter stud.

Remote Adaptor/1/2" hose>remote filter mount/1/2" hose>B&M T stat/1/2" hose>B&M cooler/1/2" hose back to Remote adaptor.

I also have a Moroso Accumulator T'd into the return line.
(since upgraded to 5/8th line)

So you need to run a filter relocation kit in addition to everything else to do it?

Doesn't sound too hard to do. What does an accumulator do though? And will all this extra hosing effect oil flow?

You don't "need" to run the remote it's just the way I did it as the turbo in the way makes filter changes a bitch!

The accumulator holds 3 Qt's of Oil in reserve then if you get surge under brakes or in corners or because you let the oil get low it pumps it back into the main gallery and helps prevent Rod Knock!
(Also helps on shutdown as it keeps a bit of pressure while the turbo spins down)

By using minimum 1/2" lines it's not a problem.
