well i was approved for a bank loan to fix my car, rod knock, now a lot of my close friends all with MK3s are telling me 2JZ swap, like go big or go home type of thing. all i want is 350 which is good for some drift day fun, but then able to raise boost so that i push 400 for some Sac Raceway fun! =) i got a quote from some shops, cheapest i found was 7000 for a rebuilt JDM 2JZ, 1J bell housing, Rebuilt Tranny R154, labor costs, and some other things. but then i was thinking a stock 2J is 280. But then i was thinking 1J which i was quoted 5500 but with not many aftermarket support here in the states makes me worrysome. Then i thought JDM 7M and for the same money i can build it to what i want, but in terms of reliability i am cautious to the 7M.
