I need to know power level before I suggest tires. From the sounds of your post though you are just looking for some average summer tires. The BFG G-Force sports have a good reputation with those that buy them. I would start there and look at comparables on TireRack.com.

For the sizes, check out the fitment thread. There are a few guys running the 10 + 35 wheels in the rear but I cant recall off hand what tires they are using.

I got lucky, I bought my Supra 4 months ago with BRAND NEW Toyo Proxies wrapped around the sawblades. I love them and will be very sad when they wear out.

Ive heard great things about the Falken rt615's as well.. As for sizes go,you will probably want something like a 245/45/17 front and 275/40/17 for the rear.

get a set of kumoh asx's... they have really long tread life and on a 10'' wide rim they'll grip for sure. i'll NEVER buy falken again, me and my dad just burn through them... there crap tires.

tirerack.com FTW!

I know i the Toyo proxes tpt's i had on my honda lasted for over a year. I actually decided on getting the Falken azenis ST115's next week for my supra since i have a buddy who can get them for cost..I guess i'll see how they work out.

The thing to be aware of about Falken RT615's is that for being a near slick, the RT615's UTQG is 200-A-A, which isn't really that great compared to BFG Gforce KDW's at 300-AA-A (which is a regular street tire). The KDW's will make you stop faster (AA is better than A, obviously) and last 33% longer... according to regulated government tests, anyway. Take the government numbers for what they're worth I guess(?)

But consequently, for being a near slick, a 200 treadwear rating is not too bad... but judging by the look of them, any kind of rain would be a very bad idea... I've never used them, so I wouldn't know though. They don't appear to have water channeling in their designed purpose, so for a DD that may get stuck out in the rain, they may not be the best way to go.

I would recommend something with a 250-300 treadwear rating if you're not doing serious performance driving. Otherwise you'll be wearing down soft compound rubber without putting any real demand on them... which is a waste of money.

BFG Gforce tires (KDW) are a solid choice, goodyear Eagle F1's are 100% win as well. RT615's sounds like something more suited to a weekend track warrior.

I just ordered my 17x10 Wheels and I'm putting 275/40/17 Kumho SPT's. The ASX suck, I had them on my fronts and I would start to slide or drift going around turns going fast, with the SPT's up front I don't do that any more.

I have 245/45/17 up front SPT, You can get these Tires at Discount for $108 a peice. That's what I paid for them. I got the rears for $112 a piece as well.

Depends on what you plan on doing with the car. DD? But want a good look set of tires with a fat one on the back? Get something with a treadwear of 350-450 (probably won't find many with a better rating than that in something higher than a 275...

did you have to do anything to the body to get 275's to fit in the rear?
