what size magnaflow?

it's finally time for a catback. i'm going to be getting the 935 diy kit, 3in piping and a high flow cat with a magnaflow muffler(3in inlet and dual 2.5in outlet). however i dont know how long the muffler should be. i meashured the stock mufler at 28inches long, but i read about one person on here who is running the 14in long magnaflow. is there a too big or a too small here? heres 935's page with the muflers i am looking at:

Mine is 14" because with the bends needed, it fit in the factory spot using the factory hangers, at the left side of the car.

14" here, that's about all that will fit

thanks alot guys. i'm glad i asked because i was going to buy the 20in one. well i'm off to unload some of this pesky money i have.
