what size are the rear speakers in a 87 mkiii .

i want to replace em cause they sound horrible .i want all infinity kappa component speakers and i 12in w6..............:evil2:

same size as your front speakers, 4 inch roundies.

Is it 4" roundies? In my 88 i have 4" round in front and like 4.5" football shaped in the rear. They don't make these football shaped frame speakers anymore, but you can easily fit 5.25 and put some sealant around the speaker. If you put 4" you will have too much space around the speaker and will, probably, have to deal with sound cancellation.

Ok this is what I did,

Go and find you some 91-92 door pannels with the 6.5" speaker mounts in them, put some components in there and put a 2 channel amp to them and forget about the rears. I tried several things and ended up giving up on it. The exhaust is loud and the rears you never hear. I also have a 10 inch Type R sub, 10 is plenty in a supra, with little effort
