What should I do to my mk3 for more horsepower?

Hey guys, I'm don't know much about Supras yet but I just purchased an 87 mk3 with some engine work already done. It has some built internals like .40 over pistons and arp head studs. It also has an HKS PFC F-CON, HKS BOV, and full exhaust. I dont want to get a bigger turbo (yet at least) but Im running 14psi and I want some more power. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Its a 5 speed. And it has an upgraded intercooler (not sure what kind) and a Walbro 255 fuel pump. Not sure abput hard piping. I just want to be around 400 whp. I know I previously said that I didnt want a bigger turbo yet but I understand a ct26 57 trim would be pretty good for the set up I have so far. I was also wondering about meth injectors and how much hp that would add after a tune since it varies for different cars. Thanks for the help guys.

im sure you have hard pipings if you have an after market inter cooler. just give it 15 to 20 pounds of boost.
sounds like you have big ass pistons already so why not put a big ass turbo on it that will spool quick?

Yeah i was thinking that too. What are some good turbos i could put on that would go well with my set up? i have a brand new stock turbo but could it really handle 15-20 pounds or are you saying i could have it that high with a bigger turbo?

On a stock CT26, you are really starting to get past its efficiency range when you exceed 12-14 PSI. This also depend on the condition of the turbo.

You say it is new, how new? Recently rebuilt by DM or Albert or another company?

if you were to get a 57trim then im sure it can handle 15 to 20 psi. but the big turbos that spools quick... theres a bunch of nice ones. keep looking it up, someone will let you know also but i like the lipp boss jr

They are discontinued by the new owner. The JT56 is similar and has similar happy customers. I have the Boss jr and like it also. I prefer the full upgrade to the CT-26. They don't respond as fast, but the exhaust housing is bigger and flows more.

35R is my feature plans and for 550whp area i think it's awesome but i hear it has a brutal power band.

I have a 60-1 CT-26 with a very very big exhaust clip and i get full boost around 3300rpm

Thats awesome! So do you think i should just stick with the ct26 57 trim instead of a gt35? because im only gonna be lookin at around 400rwhp.

me personally for 400hp i would go with a billet 58trim or 60-1 ct26 from Albert if you want to stick with the CT but the 35R would be great for it to really easy numbers for a 35R

Side not just drove my car from a 3rd gear pull it spooled by 3100rpms

it will be hard to reach 400whp with a 57mm ct-26, it has been done (look in the DYNO section of this forum, there is a thread with the most powerful 7m and IIRC the lower ones are in the lowish 400' and there is a few with upgraded ct-26)

Devin's CT26 T04E 57 is also on a very healthy shortblock with more compression. It responds faster and will make more power all through the band. 400 rwhp is pushing it on a stock long block. You can do it, you just have to do a lot with it.
