I've been pretty busy with the old girl lately. My 1988 Supra is my DD but since I am in the Navy and live on base I have had some time to get some stuff done. Not to mention finally being able to afford to. Hooyah Navy.
So here is a list of everything I have done to the car the last couple weeks:
1) Rewired my radio and my 12V plug.
2) Installed new Hood Struts and Hatch Struts. I have been using the "Supra stick" since I bought the car 5 years ago and saying goodbye to it was a real pleasure.
3) Replaced the those rubber bumpers that go on the rear hatch to prevent it from creaking when you drive. I got them off driftmotion and they were well worth the money. For the first time in 5 years there is no noise from the hatch.
4) Had the driveshaft center support bearing and U-joints done. It's like night and day driving now. Also had a small leak at the retainer gasket fixed, then had the r154 serviced with Castrol synthetic 75w90. LSD with Lucas 80w90.
5) Installed the marlin crawler shift socket(the stock one was completely missing) and marlin crawler shifter bushing. My god, its like driving a different car. Anyone who hasn't done so should install both of these parts. Shifter went from sloppy as a white girl wasted, to tight and firm.
6) Replaced driver front wheel bearing, both front lower ball joints, and both front upper control arms.
7) Lastly, this weekend I plan to install the "$300 BBK" Heavyman posted a thread about. I have all the parts ready to go. I'll make sure to post the results.
