Walbro installation kit?

Bought a brand new walbro pump from a local shop and it didn't come with the installation kit. I never changed the fuel pump without using the walbro installation kit in the past. So is the kit necessary? I'm missing the sock filter and connector. Will the oem connector and sock filter work?

the kit is necessary, oem fuel pump uses two bolts/nuts to secure it. iirc i bought my kit on ebay for 10$ (not the walbro) and is working fine.

:sigh: tried to save time on shipping by getting it locally and failed. I'll see if I can get the kit from the same shop. thanks man..
