Walbro GS342?

Hey guys, Sorry if this has been answered before - but I haven't been able to find it through search. I was just curious if the Walbro GSS-342 pump will fit in the mk3? My cousin gave me one, so I was wondering if I could use it. From what I've read the GSS-342 fits the mk4, and the mk4 stock fuel pump is an upgrade for our cars. If anyone could give me some info i'd appreciate it!

Can't definitively say one way or the other, but your logic is sound. What is stopping you from dropping the tank and finding out?

I'm not exactly to the point of NEEDING to do it, just wanting to make sure I have everything I need when I do. I've never dropped the tank to do this job before, and I want to research the 12v mod a little more.
