w58 and r154 drive shafts

are the driveshafts the same between the 2 mk3 manual transmissions? my r154 drive shaft looks pretty beat up. and i have access to a good w58 drive shaft with a new certre bearing.

I asked the same question a couple of days ago, they are indeed different, the w58 is a lot different, along with it's splines.

ok thanks. too bad a lightly modifed gte might kill a w58, i would use my fridanza flywheel(now gathering dust) then with the other driveshaft and tranny. dont feel like taking a chance.
