Save your money on any upgraded head work and spend it on a better turbo & fuel upgrades. That's if you haven't already done so. I wouldn't do any more than just a vavle job and mill it straight.

A VERY cheap and relatively easy thing to do is to get two of the Comp Cam 975-12 boxes of valve springs and stick those in in place of the stock springs. Higher seat pressure for about $60, plus you get nice new springs to replace 150,000+km springs. They are a tight fit, but it works :). The only other thing I did with my head off job was a bit of home porting and polishing. That took a long time, but if you've got the time, why not? Just make sure you read up on what you're doing before attempting that, because you can seriously mess up the flow in your head if you screw up.

Definitely have thread inserts put in for all of the exhaust studs.

Some valve springs would probably be the only thing I would bother doing, help put you at ease if you decide to go with some bigger cams down the road.

Replace your rod bearings. Alot of people get rod knock after the BHG. I did in about a week. While you are at it might as well do the OIL pump mod as well. It is a little more time but with these three things fixed/upgraded you will have a more reliable 7m

That depends on where the gasket was/is leaking from. So the is question was the coolant going into the oil pan or going into the combustion chamber ….

I hate heli-coils; but, thread inserts would be good to install on the exhaust side.

Knock sensor mod wouldn't be a bad idea either.

Man I don't know, you should find a post with supracentral and look at his Sig for a get link to a rod knock thread. Me personally I would do them.

Did you pull the motor? I didn't and I wish I would have. My advice just look around and check everything in sight and fix or replace anything that seems iffy. Hows your starter if is is suspect now would be a great time to replace.
