Type f fluid in auto tranny? Mk3 supra

I've been thinking of switching to type f fliud because its suppose to not have as many friction modifiers then dextron. Which would result in firmer shifts and less slippage between shifts which would mean quicker shifts also some one please correct me if I'm wrong. Or let me know of any negative affect this could cause. Thanks

Use the fluid that toyota recommends. Using the wrong fluid can kill the trans.

TSRM Page AT-18 Fluid type specified is Dextron II. Given that this is what Toyota specifies for correct operation of the automatic transmission, I would not put in type F fluid. You are likely to incur some undesirable consequences.

If you want quicker shifts with less slippage, then you need to change the solenoids which control the valves.

This would definitely help. Not quite sure what he's talking about with the solenoids but i'm no tranny expert.

You could get a shift kit to improve shift timing and quality. Usually requires a bit of modification to the valve body such as changing springs and adding/removing check balls. Did a quick search and found this

I've always heard it pronounced that way, and I guess that I never really read past the "x".
