Transmission case swap?

To make a long story short, I've got a busted r154 transmission laying on my work bench right now, I believe the thrust washer is gone
I also have another busted up r154 laying around, the internals are fine, but due to some stupidity the case was broken
how difficult is it to swap cases?
I googled and searched these forums but I cant seem to find a step by step manual transmission tear-down, if someone could point me in the right direction, or lend some advice- it would be greatly appreciated.

If you can remember how you took things apart, it goes back together the same way . I did some searching though and found this....might want to get this stickied if it isn't already actually....
