alright here's the problem, just rebult an R154 recently and after i finished i bolted up the shifter to make sure it went through all the gears...which it did...week later its back i my garage ready to put back in the car and the gearws are locked up!!! wtf...so of course i did everything i could possibly think of before having to take it all back apart, but nothin got everything back on track so to speak. When i opened it up i saw that two gears were in at the same time,
Now my question: what causes or allows the tranny to go in two gears at once? detent balls in wrong locations? just maybe too much play in an area? i have no clue...b4 i go and take the whole thing back apartto start over i figured id find the problem and just fix that...any suggestions much appreciated.
thanx guys JKLENKS

Sorry man, I can't help you. Usually someone with experience has answered by now. I'm really just writing this to serve as a bump. Good luck with the tranny. Might want to call a local transmission shop and ask them about it.
