tranny help

[nickel and dimed]

Hey everyone.

My friend has an 83 saab 900 and he is having problems with the tranny. Apparently when he shifts into second, it will pop out of gear after he releases the gas pedal. (meaning he was already driving in second and had successfully shifted but it pops out when he releases the gas pedal). it is now starting to happen in third. I think it may be the bushings, but I dont really know.

Any help or advice would be great

my mom had a saab non turbo, she had theclutch done and her shop put in a turbo clutch disk and it did that..

but this dosnt belong here at all. this is a mkiii supra forum.

this should be moved...mods?

the only reason I posted this here is that there are alot of people around here with technical knowledge. I was only simply hoping that someone may have had the same or similar problem with the supra or other cars that they have had. I am trying to help my friend is all, I dont want him to waste lots of cash on a new (or slightly used tranny) when it could be something else cheaper.

If it belongs in Off topic or somewhere else then feel free to move it, mods.

I will check on the clutch thing.

Still I would like some help on this if anybody else has a different idea

thy gearbox is fucked, get a new one
