TPS setting – Difference in TSRMs Which is right?
http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=101

Comparing these 2 TPS inspect pages reveals a contradiction unless there is a difference between the early and late 7mgte TPS’s
In the early 87 TSRM it shows the E2 and IDL terminals as being the in same orientation for both the 7mge and 7mgte
In the Cygnus 90 TSRM it shows the terminals orientation as being upside down from each other.

Is one correct/one wrong or are both correct?

If they are both correct it would mean that the TPS’s are different for the 7mge and the 7mgte on the early models.
I’m guessing that the 87 TSRM is wrong in presenting the layout graphic for the 7mgte.
When I recently reset my TPS, I used the Cygnus 90 version and my readings were aligned. I have a weird 7mgte, though, because the donor was an early 89 with the yellow early harness.

The pins are the same. You have to look at the connector in the pic. It has direction tabs on the out side. In the cygnus one is flipped.

tps are same for both turbo and n/a.

There are 2 different tps. Early one which i think had a up and down prongs and a blue sticker and later one with left to right prongs and a red sticker.

Which ever your car is id use those specs. Only that one thing is different all the other ones are the same.

Go off the year of the wiring. Year of motor is irrelevant .
