If that car is real, Then its the only one they ever built, and it sold a couple years ago for about $300k. From what i understand they built one targa top car for Sean Connery to drive in 007, But he still couldnt fit in the car so they built the 3 convertibles that were later used in the movie.

Ive got amazing pictures of the only one built (i dont know if this is it or not) on my external HD at home, Ill post them when i get back.

Toyota did not make a targa version. Private owners had their own 2000 GT customed to be targa. The James Bond 007 2000 GT is topless.

I got this info from the 2000gt registry awhile back, Going off of memory 369 hardtops were built, 1 targa top and 3 convertibles for the movie. Ill try to find the info again for you.

Thats the original site, Im unsure of why the translation is so rugged now.

Im not saying that they didnt customize them, But from what ive read in years past thats the story i know. But like everything on the net, Cant believe it all. Amazing car tho, The targa makes it that much better!

Back on topic:

Stripped of its paint, this SCCA Shelby 2000GT was actually the first 2000GT built.
