So this past week while driving my car home I've been hearing a funny whistle noise while on the throttle coming from under the hood. I suspected my bov. So the next day I opened my hood, and revved the engine to about 3500 rpm and held it. Sure enough my bov was opened about a half inch.
Which probably explains why all of a sudden my car started breaking up under full boost. But anyway. What is causing my tial bov to open while on the throttle? I'm thinking the spring is worn?
I have read that the tial spring has nothing to go with the amount of boost you run, just the vacuum you have. I've had this bov for 2 years and never had a problem until now.
Has Anyone ever had this problem, or care to chime in?
Thanks.
