That's the wonder of 6700% activity vs a mere 4000% activity right there. ;)

Yes, you still beat me, even with all that porn hunting ;)

OT: I thought I was like 28,000% just the other day?

Grim's porn posting is not to be criticized! He's right there with the top couple of girl posters. I just hope he was not planning on posting the dead guy's parts

And ya, I think I was 26,xxx% last night too.

So he didnt actually get electrocuted through his pee. The genius picked up the wire.

So yeah, I wasnt thinking of voltage differences when I made the Mythbusters comment. A third rail will not be more than 1200V, which will only allow the electricity to arc roughly 1.2mm. That is why you dont get shocked. Your pee is not laminar, meaning not a solid stream. It breaks up into drops before it hits the ground. That 1200V is not enough to jump all the air gaps back up to your johnson.

Now we cant be certain how much juice was flowing through the wire in question, but it could have been up to 35kV, maybe more. At that voltage, there can be an arc spanning a gap of almost 1.5 inches! Probably certainly enough to jump up your pee. But unfortunately, that is not what happened here.

I come from a land down under
Depends on the Country how much v is in their rail systems (cooked Indian guy on top of a train springs to mind)
(did a bit of research into voltages after seeing it)

The highest voltage used for a 3rd rail system is 1500V. The Guangzhou Metro line in China. There was also one in France that also used 1.5kV but that was converted to overhead wire. Now an overhead wire system can use Voltages nearly equal to power transmission lines. The 3rd rail system is limited because of its close proximity to the ground and the other rails. Proper insulation becomes impossible at the high voltages that the overhead wires use.
