Alright SM, I figured I should get around to making one of these eventually and schools in session so why not use the spare time between my studies to share my love for my A70?

My Title here is definitely correct, I lurk this site religiously. It's helped with some of even the simplest questions I had no answer for without me even having to ask, I can be thankful for that much...and the pretty down-to-earth community.

Well here's my newest infatuation: A 1987 A70 N/A 5 speed.

I actually picked this car up for $900 as-is. The PO had no idea what was wrong with it. It wouldn't idle and overheated often.

I did a compression check and all seemed well in that department, so then I did some basic troubleshooting and found that the electric fan he had installed was wired BACKWARDS. A simple change of polarity and the overheating actually was no longer a problem.

I now moved on to the idle issue. The first thing I assumed to be the problem, was exactly that. The IAC Valve was stuck and made the car lope, along with some timing issues that I took care of rather quickly.

This is how is looks under the hood as of now.

I'm not exactly proud of the non-existent cleanliness, but it's still a work in progress. The PO also got a little happy with the silver spray paint if anyone can tell.

So I just recently bought a new power plant. Another 7M but a ready-to-go NA/T. I'm not sure how well my NA would respond to boost, so I thought it would be a good idea to pick up a new heart. The CT26 is in rough shape but I plan on using a T3/T4 I have in the garage if the CT doesn't work out. (Does anyone make downpipes with 5 bolt flanges?)

This also came with sensors, a wiring harness, ECU, 440 Injectors (For temporary use), Full 3in exhaust, and as you can see, a custom intake manifold.

All for $300.

Next I'm looking to pick up coilovers and some better suiting wheels.
