My 89 turbo roller project

Found a stock jdm 7mgte on craigslist for $600
Found the roller on craigslist for $1000
Came with a rebuilt block, r154, and tons of parts (hks metal head gaskets, apr head bolts, and Lexus maf).
Installing the jdm untill I get enough money saved for 400-500 hp goal.
Will post pics with updates.

Well the engine and tranny is in. Not too much of a problem. When I first tried to start her she wasn't getting any fuel. Checked the fuel pump and 0 volts. Jumped the fp and b and the fuel pump came on. I took the banjo bolt at the engine to flush any old fuel out. After seeing the jelled fuel I decided the drop the tank and check it out. It had s rusty coating so decided to do the pee gravel cleaning method. When I was finished with that I bolted every thing back up and she fired up but the idle was surging out of control. After doing an hr of research found a thread about the icv could be clogged and not opening. Clean the piss out of it and reinstalled it. The idle is flat but a little high. Here's a few pics:

Dang, seems like you got a pretty good deal on everything! I assume the 400-500 HP goal is going to be with the 7M?

I guess my photos didn't upload. Yeah I think it was a steal on my part. I think I made $300-$400 off the extra parts that came with the car. Yeah that's my goal for the 7m is the 400-500 hp. I ordered a hks ssq bov bc mine had a malfunction and blew my ic pipe off. I think my turbo is shot. It has a small play up and down and the fins are chipped.

My blue vacuum hose kit came in along with my hks bov. Installed everything and took her for a spin and she runs like shit.
Idles fine and revs great. When I put it into gear it an start to go it wants to miss sputters and bogs. If my tranny ground wire isn't connected will it cause problems? Well here's a few pics

I would suspect a bad or weak coil causing the spark to blow out under load but im no mechanic.

I'm no mechanic either lol but I would check the starter connections and battery connections

I Finally got around to check codes and go over all my work. I didn't have the ground on tranny hooked up so was causing my car not to start. Hooked it up and fired like a champ. Now for the car running like poop I'm going to change the fuel filter and drop and clean the tank again. I think that's the problem bc it cuts out after going over bumps or anything that's makes the the gas shake up causing trash on bottom of tank to stir up.
