Teamslow's 7m SuperStreet Build

The goal is to have a reliable street car.
My definition of a superstreet car is something that can be daily driven (though I probably won't drive it daily), runs on pump gas and no nitrous, and is environmentally friendly (the car should be able to pass emissions.) I like to breathe clean air :biglaugh:

I'm hoping for at least 400rwhp. I know the build is a bit overboard for the horsepower goals. But if I ever wanted to make my car a dyno queen, I probably would only have to change the turbo, fuel supporting mods, and go standalone.

I bought the longblock from Dave Consentino AKA joliroger4.

The block came with
.020 over tough skirt coated JE pistons
Genuine Crower Rods
Clevite bearings
1.5mm greddy head gasket
ARP head studs
Complete Ferrea valvetrain 1mm over
Ported and Polished head
Reground cams, with .010 more lift.
AEM Cam Gears
ARZ upgraded oil supply line
Oil Pump shimmed 3mm
ATI Damper

This is picture of the pistons and rods that was taken by Dave before I bought the block.

The turbo I got is a 60-1 triple ball bearing Lipp boss jr. This should spool up to full boost rather quickly while still reaching my hp goal.

I shipped out my transmission to Marlin Crawler. Should be getting it back sometime next week.
And I order my aluminum driveshaft today from shaftmasters.

I'll post more pictures of other things later.

Soooo, what part of this 7M will be slow? The build thread only? LOL

Everyone talks about how fast their car is. So I thought I'd show everyone how slow mine is.

Yea it's a slow build, lol. I only have time to work on my car on the weekends. Most of this stuff has been sitting around for a year. I'm trying to have my car running by august at latest.

The black powder coat looks good. Your idea for the car is also correct. I didn't get the 60-1, but the 57 because I am trying limiting myself to 350-375.

With the head work, you will make more power at lower boost levels. This should work out quite nicely for you. Well done.

Haha, I was just about to say your car look like Duane's, but didn't think you knew who he was. Any more exterior pics?

installed my new remanufactured rack and pinion

does anyone have a pic of their rack and pinion with the hoses and lines installed?

I also tried installing my driftmotion brake hoses. They don't seem to fit where the stock clips go. Anyone ever install these hoses on their car?

Finally got my transmission back from Marlin Crawler.
Looks like they replaced every single nut and bolt.

The OS Giken push pull converter is installed.
Thanks for the help Empera! :icon_bigg

One of the ribbs were grinded on the bellhousing to have the kit fit. Maybe the kit was for a 1JZ.
But its says "1JGTE 7MGTE push pull converter" on my receipt from RHDJapan.

Does anyone know how the slave is suppose to be connected to the push pull kit?
How does the slave cylinder look on a 1jz? Is it the same for the 7m?
