just bought this 87 turbo body to swap my 88 engine and drivetrain into cause my 88 has now got mass frame damage thanks to some asshole in san antonio. bought the 87 for 500, gonna cost me around 2000 to get the drivetrain swapped in from a shop near my base. the 87 has leather interior, although the back seats can't be saved the fronts look salvagable... once i get my 88 down here so i can start the swap and also swap the interior i will start listing some parts for sale... im gonna sell the seats for 50 a piece plus shipping if ne one is interested... but i wnt be able to post ne sale pics for close to 2 months, look for the sale thread then. well here the pictures of the 87.

been way too long since i updated this, so here is some of the progress on the shell and what not.

found out im going to be deploying here soon so once i get back the supra will finally be back on the road. all i have done so far is pull the entire interior, including dash and everything but the carpet, door panel, and driver seat( only so the car can be moved easily), rattle canned the car in rustolium primer except for the targa and front bumper which will be replaced by the ones from my 88, including the interior and steering column.

i have rattle canned the engine bay, trunk and door sills flat black because when i get it painted im not worrying about matching those to the car. actually looks pretty good. other than that not much else can be done until i get back so on to the photos.

let me know what y'all think, and the car is gonna be metallic gun metal gray when i get finished with it, its gonna have a full 89+ conversion with bomex sides, rear add ons, and front lip. and im probably just going to keep the rims that are on my 88 on the 87 because i already have them and they look good on the supra. like i said let me know.

well got some more work done today, blacked out lights, 89+ moldings aside from door moldings because the driver door has to replaced when i get the other car down here, 89+ spoiler, bomex rears added.

i know y'all aren't really interested when all that's been going on is body stuff but any positive input y'all have would be awesome thanks guys

Was gonna try and make them look jdm but decided to just make them dark, I think they will look really good once the car is finished and painted the metallic gun metal gray.

stainless steel brakes lines installed today, next for the brake system is drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads, and painted calipers. here are the photos, only two...

found this in a junk yard, only one break on the whole thing, it was painted a crappy silver that was flaking so after a good sanding and repaint of high gloss black here is the finished product, the chrome on the toyota was flaking so bad it was un-salvageable so i decided to repaint that the same gloss black, i think it looks really good, the second pic is with the oil cap im gonna be using, that looks really good as a pair.

bought the kevin m shade from forcedtorque, was broken on arrival but not his fault, from the post office, but i super glued the two pieces back together and painted them high gloss black. i think it looks good installed and everything.

My advice.... tint the windows! I'm not a fan of the dark smoked tails but if you paired that with some nice dark tint I think it would go together more so than not. Other than that its a neat little project you got going, enjoy it!

Good to see another mk3 around town. We all definitely need to get together. What's the time frame on getting it all done? Done as in the engine and all swapped since no ones car is ever really done ha.

well i am getting ready to deploy so once i get back from that the engine will be all swapped and the car should be back on the road, and that should be near the middle or end of December, and yea i cant wait to get a mid GA meet or something, start chilling with some more mk3 owners, and yea the windows are getting 85% on the sides and rear, its gonna look sick once it is 99% finished with paint and everything, cause like you said no ones car is ever finished haha.

just got back from leave and installed the new dash board, lotec pod, megan gauges, greddy tt, new steering column, cluster, center console, etc... pic are better than words lol

for tomorrow will be full trunk sound proofing and rear interior install, later in the coming two weeks before my deployment will be a new front end with turbo a-duct installed!!!! goodies galore hahaha

im actually missing the ecu plug portion of my dash harness so i cant even plug in my ecu and put my glove box in haha, if any one has an extra yellow plug harness that is specifically for the ecu and would be willing to donate it that would be awesome, i can pay shipping and thats about it, i have 80 bucks to my name lol.
