So my supra got rod knock about a month or so ago.. the car has just been sitting because i havent had time to do anything with it yet. But pretty soon i should be able to get around to fixing it. So what would be the recommended way of fixing rod knock? its not a real bad knock at this point, but definatly there. Should i have the bottom end completely rebuilt? or should i just have the crank machined and have new bearings put on? any suggestions as to how i should go about this would be great. thanks

I would have it rebuilt. Don't half ass it. It will only cost you more in the long run. Do it right the first time that way you know it is right.

yup, total rebuild time, any rod that start knocking, its just alot easyer to tear it all out and put it all back together new.

Agreed. Once you've had a failure like that, the motor is contaminated with bearing shavings and you'll need to figure out why it happened. Just do a full rebuild, you'll thank yourself later.
