I've never removed that before, is it bad to leave it on? Never thought about having it remove air with it off.

remove it or leave it on, its up to you.
I left it on and ended up burping twice to get all the air out. If you dont want to mess with it, you gotta make it face upward (12 oclock) IIRC

Its not going to make a huge difference at the end of the day, it just helps it remove air faster than with the jiggle valve in place. And its an easy thing to do when you're replacing it anyway.

Ok, well that's good to know. I've ordered the two orings from champion and grabbed a new gasket while Im at it...going to have to wait until sat to receive them...I really hope this fixes my problem

Well, I called champion on thursday around 10am for them to ship the small parts to me...they told me they would rush ship them and they would be here by sat...apparently they put them out with regular shipping and I don't know when they will show up...kinda pissed right now. At least I got the BMW running.
