What kind of adapter is this? I'm guessing t3 but I'm not sure. Are there any good T3 turbos out there? It seems like external wastegate is preferred over internal for most after market turbos.

Looks like a T3 flange to me by the rounded corners. There are tons of T3 turbos out there and with that you can mount any, as long as it would clear the shock tower.
