When it's been daily driven/beat on for a few years, then we can make that statement, and I'll believe it. They're tough, but bulletproof they're not.

Kirk's JZA80 took a beating regularly for years, and he's been at 941rwhp for a while now (stock bottom end and head aside from HKS 272s, springs, and retainers).. now, that is a 2J, but the point is that it can and has been done quite a few times, even on motors that have seen a decent amount of miles, etc. His motor was also never opened up and rebuilt, OE parts or otherwise.

Every time I'm hanging with he and my buddies, his car gets the shit kicked out of it if he drives it down lol.
