My friend and i were curious about my ignition map. So we looked up other peoples maps to see what they were looking like, my map is very different. This has been covered before with the previous owner (boostindo) At 19 psi the car is only making 357whp out of a T61, People have said the turbo is the reason why its not making power but im thinking this ignition map could be a good reason aswell. I cant upload the map itself so ill try to create the chart.

Ill be in boost anywere from 4000ish-7500rpm (rev limit)
RPM 4500 5000 5500 6000 6500 7000 7500

0.00psi 33.00 33.00 33.00 33.00 33.00 33.00 33.00
5.44psi 34.20 34.20 34.20 35.20 34.20 34.20 34.20
10.88psi 34.20 34.20 34.20 34.20 34.20 34.20 34.20
16.32psi 31.20 31.20 31.20 31.20 31.20 31.20 31.20
21.76psi 28.20 28.20 28.20 28.20 28.20 28.20 28.20

Thanks for the help!

Heres the tune file

Weird right? the only time that it gets as high as 21 psi is when i have the high boost turned on to 19psi and it creeps to about 20.8

Im still new to tuning so could you tell me how to find out the base/static timing

I'm running 19* at 7000 rpm with 5* static, 93+meth for fuel. 28* sounds really really high. Those numbers won't mean squat though if your static isn't set right.

My static timing is set at six degrees, but at 21psi , I only go to 17* of timing from 5500 and up.I'm probably way conservative but my car made 616rwhp @ 21psi with meth injection and a pt67 on 93 octane.

Marcus, I can't get it to pull up for some reason. No matter where I try to save it, I can't get it to open up in Stinger. I changed it to a .em4 file and it still won't do it.

way too much timing. Mine ramps up to 17deg on pump gas. BUT I asume your running stock cams, so your not far off. Check out the cam group buy. They show an 140hp improvement.

Backing down cant hurt anything but it will raise EGT's and lower power output. Im going threw the same thing now.

My timing map is here. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?122834-Ignition-Timing

Runs strong but i have not been to a dyno so i dont know how aggressive or not agressive it is. Its nowhere near yours.

Take a screenshot when the timing tab is clicked so you can see the whole chart. i was trying to make a listing of ignition maps so when looked at together maybe a general trend could be made and it would help on a base ignition map for people starting fresh.

^ yes, but if your over advanced (it would appear that way) your either plateaued for that setup or very likely detonating givin the pump gas..or both. Timing can NOT be tuned safely & efficiently on the road. You may be able to get a decent range together if you have some way to monitor knock(even then it doesn't mean your making power at XX* just because your not detonating). Other wise a steady state dyno is needed. You REALLY need to take it to a shop and tune it. Your playing with fire by guessing..
give up power or give up your hg and rings..

If your settings are wrong, all the more reason to get it to somebody that can tune it, or that can review the tune. I dont think i'd be driving to hard at this point thats for sure!
