So i have a stinger 6860 and i'm wiring the tacho to a aux output, i used aarons wiring diagram and it's all wired up correctly although i used a 560 ohm resistor i think 5w and i cant get the tach to work. The stinger manual says i can use between a 500-1000 ohm resisitor so i cant understand why im not getting any response at all.It highlights red when i enable it in the ecu and i get no response.I've double checked the wiring and its as per instruction the only thing i can think of is the wattage is to high on the resistor ?
Help anyone?

Just checked the wires and they are correct, if i take the earth side of the tacho wire that connects to the stinger and rub it on the metal car body it activates the tacho so i cant understand what im doing wrong and why i cant get the ecu to recognise and activate the aux output.

Problem sorted! i swapped out the 5w 500ohm resistor for a 1/4w 560 ohm and the tacho worked perfect. Now to set up the rest of the features:naughty:
