I changed the subframe and when i did the bolt that secures the upper sterring knuckle to the intermediate shaft stripped and will not come out. My question is... can I just drill the bolt out and replace it with a bolt, nut and washer? I seems to me this would be the fix but I wanted the opinion of others that may have knowledge on this problem.

the steering wheel end of the shaft. I don't know if its ever been apart but when I went to loosen it, it just spun. I had to use a claw hammer to put pressure on it while
