I have Autolites 3923's and I wanted to know what is the appropriate gap for stock boost, although I do have a shimmed wastegate.

Also, when I set my timing, is it true that if you advance your timing, you feel a lot more power? Like 15 over? 12 maybe?

Thanks in advance for everything

umm once u up the boost up to 14 or so i would bump the gap down to about 28-29

why?

i've had 0 problems running a .030" gap on 20+ PSI for years. then again, it all depends on ignition system condition and tune.

as for increasing base timing, i wouldn't recommend it....

I was having a little bit of spark blow out ..... and I was advised to lower the gap and it worked. There have been many post with people lowering their gaps.............

30 is pretty close to 28 and 29 ;)

I think he meant to lower it from the stock of 39 if you are running higher boost.
