is it really bad if it runs lean at idle?

when i step on it it goes to righ so im not worried about that, just sometimes it goes lean at idle.

mods are: intake, intercooler kit,hks bov, turbonetics 60-1 turbo, 3 inch exhaust from turbo back, greedy profecb spec2,aem wideband and boost gauge.

Several things could cause it, so more info is always good.

My first guess, is intake leak of some sort.

stock should hover at 14-15. lean at idle and cruise is generally no biggie. Lean on power is bad news bears.

To give you any meaningful insight, we need some actual numbers, not just "lean".

14.7 is stoich. Mid twelves are good for power. 18 or richer at idle is nothing I would worry about. Low 20's on decel are fine a well.

Yep...I asked this question before and was told it's Toyota's answer to gas mileage. Mine runs 16-18 at idle and even 16ish at cruise. Under load it immediately jumps to 12ish. This is by design to save gas.

If anything, Toyota made it run rich at all times, it's called "not blowing up"

Bwahaha for he Guys who are running 12 AFRS under load are a shit ton more brave then i.

As for the stock TCCS it's not uncommon to see lean idle's. cruising should bounce around 14-15.5

I would not run any leaner then 11.5 under boost with the stock ECU but that's just me

The 11-13 under cruise is to rich
Other numbers seem spot on.

Also make sure you do not have any exhaust leaks that will mess with the wideband.

Running rich can be just as bad as running lean.

Also a exhaust leak will show up leaner the you really are.

Example: if you are running 11afr with a exhaust leak you are really running richer 10.5 maybe even worse.. something to keep in mind

Without a exhaust leak. 14.5-15.5 a little leaner cruise is not a bad thing also same for idle.

So here's a break down of what i shoot for.

Idle 16-17

Cruise14.5-15.5 is normal I would like to run 15.5-16

Full throttle 2,500 - 4,500rpm 11.8-11.9
Full throttle 4,500 - 6,500rpm 11.4-11.5

This is what i shoot for and would never risk exceeding my max Afr numbers that I stated under full throttle.
