Smoke AFTER decel, good compression, new turbo, 2000mi since rebuild

So, calling all wishful thinkers...

Is it possible my compression rings will seat better and then result in my oil rings seating the cyl better? Or is that as wishful as a spun bearing re-polishing itself?

If you lubed the rings when assembling, it will take time.

You can put a vacuum gauge on your car and test. Bring the speed up to 3000 or so, then let it snap closed. It hould jump to nearly 30. If it can't, that is the problem.

Mobil clean 5000 conventional 10w-30. for 500 miles. changed again with same oil around 1500mi.

now at around 2500mi and running mobil1 full syn 10w-30.

and, Nick, I see about 24in-hg on decel.

Mine was doing the decel smoke on the previous rebuilt turbo within 500 miles. Got worse fast and it was obvious it was the turbo. This time got a new CATRIDGE and been good since.

I just took my throttle body off to see if my PCV was blocked, it seems like it has a lot of resistance,

could anyone tell me how freely the PCV orifice should flow? Should it be fairly free to blow through?
