Shoe Shops...

...are annoying me lately, mainly because they dont seem to stock anything over a size 9, seriously everywhere i go, if you tell them you're looking for a shoe in a size 11 or more (i'm 12 1/2 US, D width) they just give you a blank look like you're some kind of mutant.

I'm fed up of getting cheap trainers (sneakers?) from supermarkets and my last pair of decent shoes that cost me $200 2 years ago, are finally disintegrating and SuperGlue won't hold them together for much Longer.

I'm looking for Airwalks, Vans, DC, duffs etc in dark colours/tones that i could wear to work. Nothing with patterns or excessive 'cool' in them....i'm 26 this year, and i've never been 'cool'. Those are the best shoes/boots Ive ever had. I bought a pair of steel toe low cut boots 3 years ago. Theyve held up to the hell I put them through at work and still are comfortable enough.

They come in whatever size you want, the store has people who know about feet too lol. They really know how to measure and size up your feet if you can find a store.

My dad has worn Redwings for years as a restaurant manager on his feet for 8-16 hours a day and has never once had a problem or complaint with them.

tlo86 - Yep. There are a lot of people with feet larger than 14/15 US as well. My mate nick has to have them specially made for him.

Just as an update, i finally managed to find a store with shoes in my size! Best of all, i bought TWO pairs (how unmanly of me not to get just one).

£36 per pair - one was a set of black suede Vans - the 'Malones' and the other was a set of Khaki & 'Donkey'/Beige Suede Adidas walking shoes.

Finally, my feet are warm, dry and comfortable - yay!
