Sensor question...

Hey guys,

I was cleaning up my shop yesterday and I accidentally kicked the intake manifold and broke this little sensor on the bottom of it... It's got a vacuum line that runs into it. It's also held down by two 10mm bolts...


I was wondering if anyone new what it was and what would happen if I didn't use it? Or where can I get another one from?

you broke your map sensor.. (if 2jz)


edit: on the bottom like under the runners? if so might be a VSV.. are there (or were) 2 vacuum nipples on it?

if it has 2 10mm bolts holding it in place then its prolly the VSV because the 2J map only has a one bolt bracket IIRC

2jz map sensor has 2 bolts and bolts directly to the intake manifold plenium.

I don't think it was the map... and ya it does have 2 nipples on it...

idle air control valve? that has 2 coolent lines (nipples) coming from it

sounds like the vsv.
