Where has everyone mounted their SAFC2? I would like to see some pics. I like the idea of the spot of the ashtray, but I hate having open space around it. Even if you did a little fab work, its still ok. Post some pics up.

^No thanks lol. I think you missed the words "a little"

This is my interior now, you can see how i made the bc and tt fit right next to each other with no gaps. I do not want gaps around it at all.

My friend put his up on the ceiling by the sun shade with a L bracket. Clean look, you wouldn't even know it is there unless you are looking for it.

No it doesnt. I have seen pics of it in the ashtray spot, and it leaves gaps on the sides and a bulge on the top. I personally think it looks like crap mounted there.

here is how i mounted my old safc2 in my mk2. modded the bracket to mount between the mirror and the ceiling. ou couldnt see it from outside the car at all. even if you squated down and looked you couldnt see it unless you knew it was there. ran the wire behind the headliner to the pilar and then behind the pilar cover to behind the dash where it was wired int othe ecu. took liek 30min to mount it and wire it up the way i wanted. dont have it anymore. sold it awhile ago as i have a maft on the car currently and about to remove all that and make a new harness and install my ms2

Yea, i have heard that the neo fits perfectly, and it looks like it does to me, but I am getting a good deal on a black SAFC2. I would go for the neo, but the SAFC2 is costing me a lot less, is easier to use (from what I have read/ heard), and i like the look of it better.
Brent: What do you mean "it comes off at least 2 times a week for "changes""
Forced: Thanks for the pic

I forgot to put the wires behind the console that time.... comes off at least 2 times per week to changes.

This is how mine is mounted. Brent, Trim the rubber ridge off with a razor blade and it won't bulge up like that.

I got a great deal on my NEO ($200 shipped/brand new in box) from a member here. I can't see where it would need to be any easier to manage. The NEO is supposed to have twice as many tuning points, but I still am not driving the car much until I get my boost leak fixed, and get tuned. Here's a night shot since it was requested. I'll add a radio when I start driving the car more.
